GANDAKI SHAKTI PEETH
Mukthinath is one of the famous 51 Shakti Peethas on the globe. It is located at the banks of river Gandaki, Nepal.

SIGNIFICANCE :
According to the mythology Daksha yagna and Sati self-immolation, it is the holy place where Sati Devi’s “TEMPLE ” fell down. SATI DEVI is worshipped as GANDAKICHANDI (One who can make you overcome obstacles) with her consort LORD SHIVA as CHAKRAPANI (one who holds chakra – discus)

BELIEF :

People who have a bath in river GANDAKI is said to wash away their sins and attain salvation as the sacred SALIGRAM stones which are used to build lord Vishnu temple is present in river GANDAKI .
If there is any unfulfilled desire or wish of an individual they will be fulfilled here once worshipped to GODDESS GANDAKI with devotion.

MUKTHINATH temple is situated at an altitude of 3800 meters, it is considered as one of the ancient Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu, also one among eight sacred shrines. The tall idol of Lord Vishnu is totally made with gold. We find texts mentioned in Vishnu Puran about the temple. We find 108 bull faces which spell water through its mouth in the courtyard of the temple. It is considered a sacred resemblance of 108 Sri Vaishnav temples. People say that there are Saligram stones are found deep in the Gandaki river.

DEVI STUTI
“Ya devi sarva bhuteshu, shanti rupena sangsthita
Ya devi sarva bhuteshu, shakti rupena sangsthita
Ya devi sarva bhuteshu, matri rupena sangsthita
Yaa devi sarva bhuteshu, buddhi rupena sangsthita
Namastasyai, namastasyai, namastasyai, namo namaha’‘

In Sanskrit:

या देवी सर्वभुतेषु क्षान्तिरूपेण संस्थिता ।
या देवी सर्वभुतेषु शक्तिरूपेण संस्थिता ।
या देवी सर्वभुतेषु मातृरूपेण संस्थिता ।
या देवी सर्वभुतेषु बुद्धिरूपेण संस्थिता ।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः ॥

MEANING :

‘The goddess who is omnipresent as the personification of universal mother
The goddess who is omnipresent as the embodiment of power
The goddess who is omnipresent as the symbol of peace
Oh Goddess (Devi) who resides everywhere in all living beings as intelligence and beauty,
I bow to her, I bow to her, I bow to her again & again.’

Benefit : This universal Durga Mantra blesses one with power, prosperity and positive energy. It helps build inner power and allows him to develop healthy, loving relationships. Chanting of this Mantra blocks negative thoughts and banish ignorance.
