🚗 Shodashamsha D 16 Chart 🎭
Sodashamsha is one sixteenth division of assign. Each sign is divided into sixteen equal parts resulting 1° -52-30’ as a span of one part and is the measure of one shodashamsha. It is also known as kalamsha or niripmanamsha. The word kala refers to 16 stages of increasing Moon and Moon denotes happiness and riches. So this chart indicates general happiness. It is the 2nd harmonic of the 4th house that puts focus on the happiness (4th house) the mind (2nd harmonic) experiences through luxuries and material comforts like vehicles. 🚩 Houses of Shodashamsha 🚩
First house – General level and source of luxury. The quantum of various luxuries is seen from the strength of lagna.
Second house- The upbringing which moulds your attitude towards the happiness. Accumulation of happiness.
Third house – The courage exhibited or the acts or courage to get the luxury. Any relation of third house/ lord with lagna/lagna lord or fourth house / lord promise such losses.
Fourth house – Happiness or unhappiness from the luxuries of life. This house is the sukh sthana. It allows us to taste the nectar or poison of luxuries. Any relation with 6th, 8th or 12th house indicate vehicular or other accidents which causes loss of happiness.
Fifth house – It is an important house as it stands for your karmas of past life in regard to your luxuries of this life.
Sixth house – Sixth house is the enemy of your luxuries. This house shows the loans you raise to acquire any luxury. The vehicular accidents are also ruled by this house. It shows litigations or disputes due to conveyance.
Seventh house – Partners who enjoy or suffer the luxuries with you or contribute to your happiness. The lord of 4th house of natal chart and related to 7th house of shodashamsha gives conveyance provided by others and not your own.
Eighth house – Long term problems due to the luxuries or vehicles. Fatal accidents due to conveyance of any type. Afflicted planet in 8th house need to watched during their dasha.
Ninth house – The luck factor of luxuries. It is the house for long travels also. A strong 9th house makes one possess good luxuries and he enjoy it.
Tenth house – The use of conveyance. It can be for good purpose or bad purpose. Actions for comforts in life.
Eleventh house – Gain and loss of the luxuries. The level of greed towards the ameneties of life. Relation of lagna and 11th and with malefic connection indicate a materialistic person whose greed can never be satisfied.
Twelth house – Loss of the ameneties. The losses can be due to theft or accident or by litigation (sixth house)
Rules for examination of Shodashamsha

1. Lagana indicate the level of luxuries and the source of these luxuries.
2. Any association of 6th or 8th house/lords with lagna or 4th house/ lords indicate danger or accidents through vehicles.
3. Association of 3rd and 12th house / lord with lagna or 4th house/ lord shows loss of vehicles. Losses which can be due to theft or other accidents.
4. For, vehicles, clothes, cosmetics etc. see the strength of Venus. A strong Venus when placed in cruel shodashamsha gives vehicles but also gives the danger through them. Directional strength of Venus in D 16 promises good luxuries.
5. The planets related to 6th, 8th, 12th and 3rd house cause damage in their dasha / antardasha.
6. Jupiter is the Karka for inner happiness and satisfaction. A strong Jupiter in good shodashamsha and aspecting lagna is the best to ensure inner happiness.
7. Moon shows the mental acceptance of the amenities available. It shows the most attached thngs to the person.
8. Lord Krishna should be worshipped to appease all sixteen kalas. When there is affliction in D16 we must recite Gobind Namavalli.
9. Mars is the karka of permanency of happiness or luxuries. Check the placement of Mars from 9th lord of D1 in the Shodashamsha chart. Well placed Mars gives long lasting happiness.
10. Jupiter and Venus are the karka for 4th house as far as happiness through movable possessions is concerned. Jupiter indicate the quality of possession i.e. type of vehicle etc.
