Darakaraka ( DK) is our most underdeveloped area and also money and spouse bringer. Why spouse bringer?
Because offcourse we want someone to have more of what we are underdeveloped in, supplement us and aid us in developing it.

Thus make sure your DK is well placed in your partner’s chart and not enemy to their Atmakaraka( AK). If it’s afflicted or not well placed they won’t be able to support you in a way to aid your soul’s progress but bring you many challenges to grow. If they have malefics in the sign where your DK is placed there will be issues too.

Best is having a DK which is your partner’s AK or vice versa and for smooth connection, one’s AK should not be 6/8 to other’s AK and DK in each of the charts.
