BHUMI GRUHA TATWA – VASTU

विष्णोः पृष्ठे च वामे नरभवनमनर्थप्रदं दक्षिणे चा
व्यग्रे भागेच काळी नरहरि शिवतद्भिन्न सर्वोग्रमूर्तेः॥

Places or houses on the back side of Shanta Murthi Deities like Vishnu, Rama, Krishna and other temples of Vishnu except the Ugra Murthi Avatraras like Narasimha, Parashurama will cause problems.

Places or houses to the Right-hand side of the temple’s deity of Violent Avatars of Vishnu will cause problem. There is no problem on the back side of it.

The female deities Ugra Murthi like Kali, Durga, Chandi and other similar avatars will cause problem to the places or houses
on the Left side of the deity.

In other words, the places and houses on Right side of the Shanta Murthi female deities will cause no harm.

Houses or places in front of the Rudra murti like Shiva, Rudra and Virupaksha, and Gana devatas (basing on the nature) will cause problems.

NOTE: The distance and the area that is to be avoided depend upon the size of the Deity and temple area. This, logically also applicable to the pooja room in the house.
The placement of deities in the pooja room has more importance.
